It is a joy to be coaching for my 2nd year with Heat Volleyball and my sixth-year coaching club volleyball. Previously, I coached at the Wisconsin Volleyball Academy and the YMCA, where I developed a city-wide program for younger children. My love for volleyball started when I was 10 years-old playing on a club team. In high school, I played at Madison West High School, where we won State, and I played on a traveling club team in college at The George Washington University. Having 4 daughters of my own, I know the need for encouragement, fun, and patience as young people develop a passion for a sport. I’m looking forward to the year ahead and seeing the 14U White team come together and their love for volleyball grow.
I began playing volleyball at a young age and had a huge desire for the game. So once I was old enough, club volleyball was a must for me; I played for six years between Heat VBC and Fox Valley Thunder. I also played on UW-Fox Valley’s volleyball team for a year. This will be my sixth year coaching for Heat and nothing can even compare to how coaching makes me feel. I have always had a huge love for club volleyball just because you meet so many new people, make so many memories together, make everlasting friendships, and grow as a person with your team. My goal for my team is to prepare them for freshmen season, have fun, make many memories together, and help the girls reach their goals.
